Field 19

Field 19 is reserved for local use and not required. We recommend leaving this field blank.

This field was previously used to indicate the X-ray date when demonstrating the presence of a subluxation by X-ray. X-rays are neither required nor covered, however.

When X-rays were required (before April 1, 2000), the X-ray date was entered in Field 19, which was then validated against Field 14 to ensure the X-ray was within the valid date window. Valid X-ray dates are from 12 months before up to 3 months after the initial treatment date.

Although X-rays are no longer required, if you are completing Field 19 make sure your X-rays meet the date requirements.
