Participation Status Changes

Providers can change their status from Participating (Par) to Nonparticipating (Non Par) or vice versa once per year when the Open Enrollment for Medicare packets come out with the fee schedule.

• To become a Par provider, complete and return the Participating Provider agreement in the packet.
• To become a Non Par provider, send Medicare a letter requesting nonparticipating provider status. The change becomes effective with the following calendar year.
