Chiropractic Services Introduction

Medicare has a very defined benefit for chiropractic services. The benefit structure is defined and set by Congress and enforced by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This course is provided for Part B Medicare Providers in Florida and Connecticut to help you document and bill correctly for chiropractic services you provide to Medicare beneficiaries.

On completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Distinguish which chiropractic services Medicare allows;
• Compile adequate documentation according to medical necessity requirements for initial and subsequent visits;
• Generate comprehensive treatment plans; and
• Submit claims correctly for processing, therefore avoiding appeals.

• 2004 probe results
• Claim form completion
• Documentation requirements

You have control over your learning experience. You may choose to complete the course sequentially or you may choose to consult only the resources you need.

To complete this course successfully and receive a certificate, however, you must take the postassessment and receive a score of at least 90% accuracy. The postassessment is located in the Evaluation Station section of this course.
