The main PCA course content consists of three modules:

• A brief introduction
• Data analysis and the PCA process
• Types of corrective actions used during the PCA process

On completion of this course, you will be able to:

• Identify the mission and goal of the medical review process.
• Demonstrate an understanding of data analysis and the identification of aberrancies.
• Describe the Progressive Corrective Action (PCA) principles and processes.
• Identify and describe the corrective actions used in PCA, and how to submit medical records for review.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the Local Coverage Determination process.
• Know what steps to take to ensure accurate billing.

You have control over your learning experience. You may choose to complete the course sequentially or you may choose to consult only the resources you need.

To complete this course successfully and receive a certificate, however, you must take the postassessment and receive a score of at least 90% accuracy. The postassessment is located in the Evaluation Station section of this course.
